Forensic Services & Evaluations

Custody Evaluations
An evaluation by a licensed mental health professional, which evaluates you, your child(ren), your co-parent, as well as significant others to assist in making a recommendation to the court regarding a child(ren) specific parenting plan. Custody Evaluations are court ordered and conducted in the best interest of a child(ren).

Adoption Evaluations
Regardless of the type of adoption, nearly all families must complete an Adoption Evaluation process prior to adopting a child(ren). Some factors considered during an Adoption Evaluation are the prospective parent's ability to physically, emotionally, and financially care for the child.

Psychosexual Evaluations
A Psychosexual Evaluation focuses on sexual development, sexual history, and sexual adjustment. In some cases, a Risk Assessment can be combined as part of the Psychosexual Evaluation. Generally, an evaluation will assist with planning treatment and goal setting, whereas a Risk Assessment can help with assessing recidivism.
